Superman Red Son

What if Superman had landed in the USSR? That is the question Mark Millar's Superman Red Son examines.

The plot stays away from shifting Superman to the role of villain which is a wise move in our eyes. Instead he is the hero of the Soviet Union fighting for Stalin, socialism and the international expansion of the Warsaw pact. He grows up on a farm on a Ukrainian collective farm and his human name is a state secret.

Thor : Trailer 2

I cant really say Ive been a devout fan of the comic series of Thor throughout my life. I also can't say that i was particularly excited by the concept of a seemingly procedural Thor movie by Marvel seemingly to facilitate the Avengers. However now i am converted, particularly with two scenes in this trailer, with quotes of "You dare threaten me, Thor with so pewney a, weapon!" and "This drink I like it; Another!". We will have to see whether or not the son of Odin makes a welcome entrance to the silver screen. But certainly at this point it looks allot better than first expected.

Animatronic Iron Man Costume

Recently there was a post on SalubriousHUB abut making your own Predator costume. However in researching that particular post this guy was found, sorry about all the music on the videos he really dig's it not really sure if it fits?

Whilst he maybe really dig Iorn Man, perhaps a little too much, this guy has tried extremely hard on this costume. Too see the full painted suit or his next fantastic contraption, WAR MACHINE!!! By the way the last video after the jump could be construed as comedy brilliance, if you leave the sound on for any of these make it the last one.

Film of the week : From Hell

2001 saw one of the best adaptations of any of Alan Moore's graphic novels to screen as of yet.
Alan Moore also being the writer of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and more lately Watchmen. Attracting such names as Johnny Depp, Heather Graham, Robbie Coltrane and my personal favorite Ian Holm.

Avoiding any spoilers the movie outlines the case of Jack the Ripper in a dark and stylish manner. The story is set in a Victorian London and follows Mary Kelly [Heather Graham] and Inspector Fred Abberline [Johnny Depp] in this tale of murder and madness. Catch the trailer after the jump, well worth your time and money. Also if are a fan of graphic novels and you haven't yet had the pleasure of reading the original, again its a very good use of your time. If you do anything this week watch this movie.

For more info on From Hell visit IMDB. If you want to buy the graphic novel or the film Amazon's good for both, [Film] or [Graphic Novel]. But I'm fairly sure you could pick it up cheaper somewhere else if you are prepared to have a second hand version.
